Ten Things to Pray for…..

Your Husband

10 Things to Pray for Your Husband

  1. Grant him more than enough income to provide for your family.
  2. Give him success in all that he puts his hands to.
  3. Recharge him at home more than at work or play.
  4. Help him develop friendships with other men that would encourage, validate, bless, and focus him on who God says he is.
  5. May he will see you as his helpmate and may you be his best friend, supporter, and lover (Proverbs 5:18-19).
  6. Make your image the model of beauty for him. (This is a concept I got from Gary Thomas’ book, Sacred Marriage)
  7. Help him to know that you believe in him, trust his decisions for the family, and are proud of what he is able to accomplish at work.
  8. May both of you take every opportunity to bless each other and allow the Holy Spirit to be the one to convict of sin.
  9. Allow him to truly enjoy time with Jesus and look to Him for direction and life to give to the family.
  10. Open his eyes to God’s plan for his life. May the plan he was created for and would stir up energy and passion in him.

PSALM 20
1 To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you out of Zion; 3 May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah 4 May He grant you according to your heart's desire, And fulfill all your purpose.5 We will rejoice in your salvation, And in the name of our God we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. 6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. 7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God. 8 They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright. 9 Save, Lord! May the King answer us when we call.

Prayer before the last day of the year!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

If you are on a social network, look for prayer groups that you can participate in.  God requires and is glad when you come before him in prayer.  This is a special time where you can come to Him, in praise  to Him, in thanks to Him for his kindnesses to you, and to make your requests known to Him.  The Bible says  you have not because you ask not!  But you just can't come to God asking, without your sacrifice of praise to Him.  He cannot hear you unless you're of a contrite (feeling or expressing remorse or penitence; affected by guilt) heart.

They say Matthew 6 is the model prayer.  This is one of the many prayers that we may model.

Our Father, who art in Heaven.

Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
in/on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we forgive those who have
debts against us.
Lead us NOT into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory,
forever and ever Amen!

Get up early and give thanks for your life, your very breath, your limbs

your voice, the ability to walk, see and hear.
Get up early and go to God in prayer.  Intercede for your family,
your friends, your enemies.  Pray for those who despitely use you.
Only God can and will, because of His promises, deliver you.
He's waiting to take your hand in His to comfort you!  TRUST HIM!

Glory to God

24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.

If God treated us the way we treat Him...

Dearly beloved,
Look at all the time that has gone by and I have not updated my page.  My mind is filled with clutter, as is everything in my life!!  I can't focus, even though I do study the Bible, even though I do think of God all the time!  My prayer today is that my mind will calm down and I can dedicate time to carefully and strategically record what I ask God for, what I thank God for, what I do for God on a daily basis.  I will be studying Bible characters in 2014, along with the continue study of the book, Bible Readings for the Home Circle with my friend from South Carolina, Evelyn.  So my prayer is that I will be able to document everything I do daily, which I really have NO excuse.  I'm on this blasted computer every day, all day.
Here's the first character for the year:

Introducing Joshua

Can we count on God to keep his promises?
Thousands of years ago God promised Abraham, "I will make you into a great nation" (Ge 12:2). "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates" (Ge 15:18). These same promises were renewed with each generation of Abraham's descendants, but hundreds of years passed and his children still had no land to call their own. Even worse, they lived as slaves for four hundred years and wandered in the desert forty years after that. They hardly qualified as a great nation!
The book of Joshua is the story of God making good on his promises. It tells how Israel entered and conquered the land God had promised them. In fact, God's faithfulness is so complete that at the end of the book we hear this proclamation: "You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed" (Jos 23:14).
Can we count on God to keep his promises? The answer from Joshua is a resounding yes! God is utterly dependable, and we can trust him completely. Joshua is a book for those whose prayers seem to go unanswered, for those who wonder if God is really alive and active, and for those who desire fresh assurance of God's dependability.
Joshua is also a fast-paced book. In it we share the excitement of the Israelites, who through God's power saw a river dry up and a city wall tumble. We watch them face overwhelming odds and emerge victorious.
The book of Joshua picks up the story of Israel's history after the death of Moses and carries it through the entry, conquest and division of the Promised Land. The events recorded began around 1406 B.C. and ended about twenty-four years later.
Although the author of the book is not identified, the traditional view is that it was written by Joshua himself, with a few additions made by Eleazar or Phinehas (for example, the reference to Joshua's death in 24:29-30). However, some scholars believe that the book may have been written by a younger contemporary of Joshua, and still others think it was not written until the beginning of the monarchy by someone who had access to various records of the actual events.

Do you hallow God's Name??

What about our lives and words "hallows" the name of our Father? What desecrates and besmirches it? How should we "hallow" the Father when we begin to pray?

Who Are You??

Do you know who you are in Christ?

You are Loved
You are Forgiven
You are Redeemed
You are a New Creation
You are Holy
You are Set Apart
You are Made with a Purpose
You are God’s Masterpiece
You are the Temple of the Holy Spirit

It's A Good Day To Be Alive!

Do you ever wonder how is it that you're way down here on this planet Earth, and whether there is somebody who they call God, way up there, and is he really there, and is he really seeing what's happening on this dirty, perverse planet, where nobody respects you, nobody gets along with each other, grown men are raping little four year old girls, and suffocated and stuffed into igloo coolers and hidden in a Bronx, New York woodland, to be found, without a trace of who she is, who her mother is,   who cares for her, how did she get there, and what is going to be done to the bastard that violated her?  Well, there is a God, and He cares about you.  He even cares about that little girl.  However, because we are subject to sin in this world, horrible things happen to little girls, little boys, big girls, big boys!!  Even horrible things happen to grown men and women.  Unfortunately, this is life!  God never intended for you to be lonely, depressed, unemployed, homeless, victims of sexual crimes, victims of identity theft -- VICTIMS.  God's Word tell us that, ""These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."  Jesus Christ became flesh, yes, human being, to come and teach us what real love is, to teach us how to be in a right relationship with God, with our parents, and mankind!  Have you heard of the Ten Commandments?  People say, "that's Law.  We're not under Law."  Bottom line is:  if God saw fit to write with his own hand, ten ideas that we're to cling to, then they must be important.  And I don't think that even Jesus, would advise us to overlook anything that His father set out for us to do!!  The commandments are a mirror for us to know what is WRONG with our behavior!  God did send His son, Jesus Christ to come to teach us, and to show us the right way, the straight way, the narrow way.  Unless you accept Jesus Christ and be born again, you CANNOT see God, the Father, Yahweh.  No priest, no cardinal, no POPE, no minister, can get you to Heaven or seek God for favor on your behalf. It is your right to go directly to the Father, God, Yahweh for ALL your needs.  Pray to him directly, and His Son, Jesus is in heaven interceding in your behalf.  "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.…  There's NO middleman!!  Pray.  You don't need beads of any kind.  Just open your heart, write stuff down if you have to, but just do it!!  God waits to hear from you!!  You were created to have a relationship with your creator God.  Make that move right now.  Don't delay!  There's no time to waste!!!

Our Creator!

God was there in the beginning of time.  There was unlimited space and the world was void.  Then God created the Heavens and Earth—all you see, all you don’t see. Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God’s Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss.
3-5 God spoke: “Light!”
        And light appeared.
God saw that light was good
        and separated light from dark.
    God named the light Day,
        he named the dark Night.
It was evening, it was morning—
    Day One.
6-8 God spoke: “Sky! In the middle of the waters;
        separate water from water!”
    God made sky.
He separated the water under sky
        from the water above sky.
    And there it was:
        he named sky the Heavens;
It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Two.
9-10 God spoke: “Separate!
        Water-beneath-Heaven, gather into one place;
    Land, appear!”
        And there it was.
    God named the land Earth.
He named the pooled water Ocean.
God saw that it was good.
11-13 God spoke: “Earth, green up! Grow all varieties
        of seed-bearing plants,
    Every sort of fruit-bearing tree.”
        And there it was.
    Earth produced green seed-bearing plants,
        all varieties,
And fruit-bearing trees of all sorts.
God saw that it was good.
It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Three.
14-15 God spoke: “Lights! Come out!
        Shine in Heaven’s sky!
    Separate Day from Night.
Mark seasons and days and years,
Lights in Heaven’s sky to give light to Earth.”
        And there it was.
16-19 God made two big lights, the larger
        to take charge of Day,
    The smaller to be in charge of Night;
        and he made the stars.
God placed them in the heavenly sky
        to light up Earth
    And oversee Day and Night,
        to separate light and dark.
God saw that it was good.
It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Four.
20-23 God spoke: “Swarm, Ocean, with fish and all sea life!
Birds, fly through the sky over Earth!”
    God created the huge whales,
all the swarm of life in the waters,
And every kind and species of flying birds.
God saw that it was good.
God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Ocean!
        Birds, reproduce on Earth!”
It was evening, it was morning—
    Day Five.
24-25 God spoke: “Earth, generate life! Every sort and kind:
cattle and reptiles and wild animals—all kinds.”
    And there it was:
        wild animals of every kind,
Cattle of all kinds, every sort of reptile and bug.
God saw that it was good.
26-28 God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
        reflecting our nature
So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea,
the birds in the air, the cattle,
    And, yes, Earth itself,
and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.”
    God created human beings;
        he created them godlike,
    Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female.
    God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air,
for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.”

So if you weren't sure, yes, God made You!!  And He loves You!
